“Although I may have a flash title, my role is simple”.

Kia ora e te whānau,

My name is Henare Cherrington and I am the Te Ara o Tākitimu Student Success Navigator.

Although I may have a flash title, my role is simple. My role is to work alongside you as part of your learning journey with the hope that my role would help alleviate any barriers that may hold you back from reaching your goal.

You will see me constantly in and out of the workshops and classrooms, so do not be hesitant to approach me with your issues or if you just want to have a catch-up kōrero. The team of Te Ara o Tākitimu and I have knowledge regarding the student services available at EIT and furthermore external social services within the Hawke's Bay region. Though what we are 100% about is that communication is essential.

I look forward to working with you in the near future.
