"I love being a part of a passionate team and watching our students graduate, it makes me feel so proud"
watching the growth in our students' skills and confidence as they progress through their chosen programmes. I believe the supportive tutors and wrap around pastoral support that
Te Ara o Tākitimu students receive, are key.
I am a Work Broker for the Te Ara o Tākitimu team. In this role I develop relationships with local businesses and employers to create opportunties for employment and placement for our students. A key part of my role is to have my finger on the pulse, keeping up to date with industry trends and the needs of employers.
One way we facilitate work brokerage activity is by hosting Industry visits and Employment Preparation Hui which support our less confident
students to find suitable work experience placements and employment
opportunities on completion of their courses.
I grew up in Wairoa where my life was all about the three” F”s – Family, Farming and Fishing. I've been in Hawke's Bay for over 10 years and love supporting young and mature students to achieve.
I love being a part of a passionate team and watching our students graduate, it makes me feel so proud.
